We’ve have been assigned our work project. We will be working at a residence for mountain children who have no school in their village. They live here the whole school year and go to a public school across the street. Our job is twofold: to make sure they are safe is a priority and secondly to teach them to speak English. In turn they will teach us to speak Thai. There are 165 children living here. They are ages 6 to 17. The smaller ones go to a primary and the big ones to a secondary school a little further away. This year 7 of the graduates had been here from grade one right through to the end of high school.   If I understood correctly, 2 of them are going to Bible School next year. This is the goal. We give them an opportunity to hear about God all through their school years in the hopes that they will get to know Jesus and accept him as their saviour. En compagnie de Cavell Rowsell, nous avons reconnecter avec les responsables d'ABUNDANT LOVE CHILDREN'S HOUSE.  Nous avons assister à une séance sur la sécurité et la protection des enfants et nous avons fait une visite des lieux. Les placards pour les enfants doivent être renouveler compte tenu qu'ils ont 10 ans et les pentures ne tiennent plus. De plus, dans la cuisine, il faudrait mettre des moustiquaires à la grandeur de la pièce puisqu'il y a des mouches à profusion, ce problème provient de l'élevage de porcs dans le voisinage.     Les enfants de ce centre sont entourés par un staff chrétiens et rempli d'amour. Dès qu'un jeune arrive au centre tout lui est fourni, la literie, serviettes, uniforme et un ourson en peluche, en fait un doudou (objet transitionnel) pour le consoler dans les jours difficiles quand les siens lui manques.
